Description
Nandi Magadla is a dedicated mental health professional with a distinct ability to leverage interpersonal processes and intersectional feminist multicultural frameworks in her therapeutic approach. Through the careful exploration of relationships and societal impacts, Nandi collaboratively works with her clients to devise long-term solutions promoting overall well-being. She specializes in a wide array of therapeutic areas, including multicultural competence, generational trauma, LGBTQIA+ issues, anxiety, depression, self-esteem enhancement, crisis work, and identity exploration. Her practice is underscored by the principles of warmth, empowerment, and support, reflecting her commitment to creating a conducive environment for clients to nurture their inner wisdom and power.
Nandi completed her Master's degree in Education, with a focus on Clinical Mental Health Counseling, from the University of Utah. She is particularly interested in complex and intergenerational trauma, religious trauma, self-esteem, depression, and anxiety. Nandi applies an intersectional feminist lens to her therapeutic approach, which allows her to consider the various identities defined by her clients and their socio-cultural influences. This methodology is complemented by techniques like narrative therapy, dream-work interpretations, strength-based therapy, and somatic therapy. Besides her professional engagements, Nandi enjoys spending quality time outdoors with her Golden Retriever, travelling, reading, and engaging in activities that support her overall well-being.
