Dr. Aja King is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, Counseling Psychologist, and an experienced educator with over two decades of counseling service under her belt. After obtaining her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, she pursued a Master of Art in Community Counseling from Argosy University in Atlanta, Georgia. She furthered her academic credentials by completing a Doctor of Education degree in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University in Washington, D.C. Dr. King has dedicated her career to helping individuals break unhealthy relationship cycles and restore self-esteem.
Not only has she worked one-on-one with clients, but Dr. King also has offered training, consultation, and coaching services to organizations such as YWCA, People for Pride in Living, Urban Ventures, and Solid Ground Foundation. Her specialties span from individual and family therapy to couples/marriage counseling and professional/career coaching. Moreover, she addresses diverse topics like diversity and inclusion, mental health best practices, provider wellness, and organizational development. A mother of two and a lover of singing and traveling, Dr. King's approach is multifaceted and solution-focused, aiming to meet her clients' unique needs while helping them discover their strength and purpose in life.
