Erika McAfee-Levan, MA, LPCC

Erika McAfee-Levan is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and the founder of Levan Counseling & Consulting Services. With over a decade of diverse experience, she is adept at working with a broad spectrum of clients and has a strong background in managing severe and persistent mental illnesses. Erika's career has included roles such as an in-home therapist for 'at-risk' children and adolescents, and their families. Believing firmly in the transformative power of counseling, she is devoted to helping individuals, couples, and families lead fulfilling lives by overcoming their challenges and roadblocks.

Erika holds a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from the Adler Graduate School and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the Metropolitan State University, St. Paul, MN. As a firm believer in the effectiveness of Cognitive Behavior Therapy, she is committed to promoting healthy thinking and positive outcomes by helping clients gain insights into their underlying beliefs and experiences. In addition to this, she is a Certified PREPARE/ENRICH Facilitator, a Certified DBT Therapist, and a Certified Crisis Counselor. Inspired by the transformative journey of a butterfly, as noted in one of her favorite quotes by Maya Angelou, Erika seeks to assist her clients in realizing the beauty of their personal change and growth.
