Nate Hurse is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor with over three decades of experience in the mental health field. He brings a profound understanding of clinical and program development, co-occurring disorders treatment, and recovery coaching, with a particular emphasis on culture-centered counseling. Nate holds multiple state accreditations for alcohol and drug counseling, a testament to his competence and dedication. He has also earned an advanced alcohol and drug counselor certification, further solidifying his expertise in substance use disorders.
With a broad career spanning Connecticut, Indiana, and Minneapolis, Nate has spent the last 20 years specializing in culturally diverse populations at various chemical health treatment centers in Minneapolis. He's an acknowledged Substance Abuse Professional (SAP), a registered trainer with the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA), and presently serves as their vice president. Nate is also a peer reviewer consultant for the Minnesota DHS Alcohol Drug Abuse Division. In addition to his professional accomplishments, Nate is a living testament to recovery, staunchly advocating for Peer Recovery and Recovery Coaching.
